Magnolia, TX
Dog training in Magnolia: acreage, horses and working breeds
Magnolia has horses, long fence lines, wooded lots and a lot of shepherds, Malinois, cattle dogs and livestock guardians doing jobs nobody quite gave them. A Magnolia dog needs boundaries, neutrality to the animals it lives with and a recall that holds when a deer breaks cover.

How it works from Magnolia
A short drive down 249, or the transport with the handover at the barn.
Magnolia is close enough to Cypress that many families drop off and return for the go-home session. Acreage families usually take the $250 transport instead, because the handover on your own land, at the fence line and the barn, is the lesson that matters for a dog with a property to patrol. We collect the dog at your gate, it lives and trains in the home in Cypress, and we bring it back to walk the property with you.
Throughout the stay the dog is a member of the household in Cypress, and you follow the training in photos and video on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Drop-off in Cypress, about 35 minutes
- $250 transport with the handover at your fence line
- In-home lessons on your property
- Updates three times a week
Magnolia dogs
Horses, fences, deer and a dog that appointed itself.
The Magnolia dog we see is a working breed that has hired itself: the shepherd that harasses the horses, the cattle dog that nips at the kids because they run, the Pyrenees that barks at the tree line all night, the Malinois that has decided the UPS truck is an intruder. None of it is bad temperament; all of it is drive with no direction and a lot of land to apply it to.
Boundaries, neutrality to livestock, a recall around wildlife and a calm greeting at the gate are the acreage curriculum. Platinum builds it on a long line and proofs it with field trips and unlimited lessons afterwards. VIP finishes it off leash with the Mini-Educator, walked with you across your own property at the handover. Our founder grew up training Quarter Horses, so the barn is familiar ground.
- Boundaries at the property line without a physical fence
- Calm around horses, cattle and the barn cats
- A recall that beats a deer or a rabbit
- A calm greeting for the truck at the gate
Where we train near you
Open fields, the feed stores and your own fence line.
Acreage skills are built in open fields near the training home on a long line, proofed around other animals at a distance the dog can hold, and finished on your property. The feed stores and the pet store on 1488 are the neutrality environment for people and carts; Unity Park and the downtown patios carry the settle for the family that also takes the dog to town.
Magnolia summers are hot on open land, so from May to September the field work runs at dawn and dusk with water every fifteen minutes and a hard stop, and the working breeds get the shortest sessions in the heat.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Can you teach a dog to leave the horses alone?
Yes. Calm around livestock is built the same way as any neutrality: structure first, then the animals at a distance the dog can manage, closing that distance over days. Our founder grew up training horses and calm around them is part of the Platinum and VIP curriculum for Magnolia dogs.
Do you pick up on acreage in Magnolia?
Yes. The $250 transportation service collects your dog at your gate anywhere in Magnolia, Pinehurst or Tomball, returns it at the end of the stay and includes the first lesson on your property.
How far is Magnolia from the training home?
About 30 to 40 minutes to Cypress via 1488 and 249 outside rush hour. Plenty of families drop off; acreage families usually take the transport for the handover at the fence line.
My Pyrenees barks at the tree line all night. Fixable?
Livestock guardian breeds bark at night by design, so the honest answer is management plus training: no free access to the yard after dark, a place and a quiet cue, and a routine that gives the dog a job by day. It is Platinum work, and our team will say plainly what is realistic on the free call.
