Montgomery · Montgomery County
Trained for the life you actually live.
Lake life asks a lot of a dog: boats, docks, water, guests and space to run. Our trainers build calm, reliable behavior around all of it, and the VIP program adds complete off-leash reliability for acreage and lakefront homes.
Real-world training
Where the field trips go.
- Lakeside docks and boardwalks
- Water work on a long line
- Small-town streets and stores
- Open fields and trails
Field trips and public exposure are part of the Platinum and VIP programs. Calm, neutral behavior around dogs, people and distractions is built in public, then transferred to you in the go-home session.
Getting to Cypress
About 45 to 60 minutes from Cypress.
Drop off at the training home in Cypress, or add the $250 transportation service: pick-up from your Montgomery home, safe transport both ways, and the first lesson in your home so the training transfers where it matters. Transport home is included in VIP.

Questions
From Montgomery families.
Do you offer pick-up and drop-off?
Yes. The $250 transportation service picks your dog up from home, returns them when the program is complete, and includes the first lesson in your home. Transport home is already included in the VIP program.
Which areas do you serve?
Houston, Cypress, The Woodlands, Tomball, Katy, Spring, Montgomery, Hockley and surrounding areas. The training home is in Cypress, northwest Houston. Families also drive in from further out for board and train.
Where does my dog stay during a board and train?
In our trainer’s home in Cypress, not a warehouse or kennel. That in-home environment is the point: real-world training in everyday settings, so the results transfer to your home.
Who actually trains my dog?
The Best Dog University team, led by founder and head trainer Seth Purdom. Over 16 years of hands-on experience and more than 900 dogs trained. Best Dog University keeps a limited number of dogs at a time so every program stays customized.
Will I hear from you while my dog is away?
Yes. Professional photo and video updates go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so you see the progress as it happens.
What happens when the program ends?
A go-home session where you’re shown exactly how to maintain and build on the results. After that, follow-up lessons and lifetime support. Platinum includes unlimited private lessons; VIP includes unlimited in-home lessons.
