Montgomery to Cypress is a real drive, and lake families usually take the $250 transport so the go-home session lands at their own dock: the wait at the edge, the recall out of the water and the settle on the boat demonstrated where they will be used. Drop-off families are welcome and do the handover in Cypress, where the lake near the training home stands in for yours. Updates arrive Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the water work shows up in them by the end of the first week.

What a Montgomery dog learns
A wait on the dock, a recall out of the water and calm on the boat.
The lake dog needs three things: a wait on the dock and the boat until released, however many birds are on the water; a recall out of the lake that beats birds, other dogs and the pleasure of swimming; and a settle on a mat on the deck while the boat moves and jet skis pass. The acreage dog behind the lake adds boundaries and a recall past deer. Platinum builds all of it on a long line with field trips and unlimited lessons afterwards; VIP finishes it off leash with the Mini-Educator for a dog that lives on the water. Gold covers the manners for the Woodforest subdivision dog.

Platinum at $3,750 builds the wait, the water recall and the boat settle on a long line, with unlimited lessons afterwards; with the transport it is $4,000 door to door and the handover happens at your dock. VIP at $10,000 produces complete off-leash reliability on the water and includes the transport and the dock handover. Gold at $2,500 covers the manners for a dog that is calm around water. Your dates are held by a $250 deposit that is applied to the total.

Montgomery specifics
Alligators, the hot deck and a season that starts in May.
Lake Conroe holds alligators, especially in the coves on the northern end, so the dog is leashed at the public shore, back from the bank at dusk and out of any water where one has been seen; a family's own dock in open water is a different risk and the wait at the edge is the dog's protection either way. A boat deck in July is hot pavement, and shade, a wet mat, drinking water and swims to cool are the plan. Lake season starts in May, which is why a Montgomery dog trained in the cool months goes into its first summer with the manners already in place, and why the fall is the time to book.
