Puppy training in Energy Corridor: townhome puppies and Terry Hershey Park
The Energy Corridor raises puppies in townhomes and apartments beside the office parks, and in the big-tree neighborhoods south of I-10, on schedules built around long days and travel. Terry Hershey Park is the reward at the end of it, and the bundle's job is to get a puppy ready for that trail before it is old enough to walk it.

The four sessions
Four sessions built around a work schedule, with the potty routine designed for a townhome.
The first session is in the puppy's first week and, in a townhome or an apartment, it is mostly about the potty routine. A puppy that has to ride an elevator or take two flights of stairs to reach grass needs a different plan from a puppy with a back door: a set potty spot at the nearest patch of grass, a carry down the stairs while it is small, and a schedule tight enough that the puppy never has to hold it longer than it can.
The next three visits run about a week apart, usually early or late to fit office hours. Sit, the place bed and the nipping plan come in session two; the recall on a long line and a stay with duration come in session three, along with the first leash walk on the Nottingham Forest or Briar Forest sidewalks once the vet has cleared the ground. Session four is a review at a CityCentre patio and the adolescent plan.
Session one: the townhome potty routine, crate placement, the marker word, handling, and the plan for the days you travel.
Session two: sit, the place bed, the nipping plan, and recall from room to room.
Session three: recall on a long line, a short stay, and the first sidewalk walk south of I-10 after clearance.
Session four: a review at a CityCentre patio, elevator and garage manners, and the adolescent plan.

Raising a corridor puppy
Heat, the bayou and a puppy that is alone too much: the Energy Corridor realities.
From May through September a corridor puppy's outings run before nine and after seven, and the timing matters more here because the morning walk has to fit before a commute. The pavement test applies to the garage floor and the pool deck as well as the sidewalk: press the back of your hand to it before the puppy walks on it.
The puppy's feet stay off ground that unknown dogs use until your veterinarian confirms the vaccine series is complete, which is usually around sixteen weeks. The Energy Corridor is good at socialization from a lap: the CityCentre patios from a mat under the table, the pet and hardware stores along I-10 and Highway 6 from a cart, and Terry Hershey Park from a bench where the puppy watches cyclists, joggers and dogs pass on the bayou trail. The trail itself waits for the vet's clearance, then starts on a long line at a quiet hour, well back from the water.
The housing is the third reality: a townhome with an elevator or stairs, a garage that opens onto a busy drive, a schedule with travel in it and, for a lot of corridor families, a puppy that is alone more than it should be. The bundle plans for that honestly, with a crate the puppy likes, a midday walker or a neighbor written into the routine, and a place bed that means settle when the house is finally full again.

Prices
Energy Corridor bundle prices, and the transport question for later.
The bundle is $750 at your Energy Corridor home and $550 at our Cypress training home, about 25 to 35 minutes away outside rush hour via Highway 6 or the Beltway to 290. Corridor families split between the two. The in-home version is the one to choose when the plan depends on the building: the elevator, the stairs, the garage, the balcony. The Cypress version suits a family with a yard south of I-10 and a puppy that simply needs the skills.
After four months, private lessons continue the work at $160 in Cypress or $220 at your home, in the evening if that is when you are there. A stay is reserved with a $250 deposit, and the $250 door-to-door transport with the first lesson at your house is popular here, because it lets the stay end on the day you are back from a trip.

Bundle or a stay
The bundle now; a Gold or Platinum stay timed to your travel later, if the puppy needs it.
A puppy under four months stays home and does the bundle, because it learns in short bursts and needs its people in between. At about four to five months it can hold structure for a full day, and a stay at our Cypress home becomes an option. Gold is two weeks at $2,500 and builds the manners set; Platinum is three weeks at $3,750 and adds the structured heel, field trips into real public places and behavior work for the adolescent that has started lunging at cyclists on the bayou trail.
Energy Corridor families often time a stay to a work trip, with transport bringing the go-home session to their door on the day they land.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Can a puppy learn to potty train from a third-floor townhome?
Yes, with a tighter routine than a yard puppy. The bundle sets one potty spot at the nearest grass, a carry down the stairs while the puppy is small enough, and a schedule of trips after every nap, meal and play session so it never has to hold on longer than it can. Most townhome puppies are reliable within a few weeks if nobody skips the schedule.
We travel for work. What happens to the bundle when we are away?
The sessions are spaced around your calendar, about a week apart but flexible, and the plan includes whoever cares for the puppy while you are gone so the routine does not reset. Once the puppy is past four to five months, a board and train stay timed to a trip is the usual next step, with transport so it comes home the day you do.
When can the puppy walk Terry Hershey Park?
Once your veterinarian has confirmed the vaccine series is complete, which is usually around sixteen weeks. Before that the park is a bench and a lap. Once cleared, the first trail walks are short, on a long line, at a quiet hour and well back from the bayou, and the puppy is paid for looking at you rather than at every cyclist.
Is the crate cruel for a puppy that is already alone during the day?
The crate is the safe part of being alone; the cruel part is the boredom, and the bundle deals with that directly with a midday walker or neighbor in the routine and a puppy that is tired from short training sessions rather than restless. A puppy that loves its crate is calmer alone, not lonelier.
