How it works from Willis
An hour down I-45 means the pickup earns its price.
Willis to the training home is about 55 to 65 minutes outside rush hour: I-45 south past Conroe, then 99 or 249 across to 290 near Fry Road. That is a real trip, so most Willis families take the $250 transportation service. We collect the dog at your door, and when the program ends we deliver it home and teach the first lesson right there, on your dock and your driveway. VIP includes the transport and an in-home handover.
If you would rather drive, drop-off is welcome and the go-home session happens at the training home in Cypress on the last day. The dog lives in our trainer's house with a few other dogs, never in a run, trains through the day in the house, the yard and on field trips, and you follow along in photo and video updates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Willis dogs
Off-leash reliability is the Willis ask, and it has stages.
A Willis dog is asked to do hard things. Hold a stay on a dock while a boat is tied up, ride in that boat without launching at every wake, ignore a deer on a forest trail and come back from the water on the first call. Owners want the dog loose, because the property and the lake make a leash feel silly, and the dog agrees, which is how it ends up half a mile down the shoreline.
Off-leash reliability is a VIP result: six weeks, service-dog-level obedience, duration stays, the Mini-Educator e-collar included and unlimited in-home lessons afterward. Platinum gets a dog most of the way there with a strong recall, a structured heel and field trips. The difference is distance and distraction: Platinum is reliable on the long line and in town; VIP is reliable at the far end of the property.

The north shore, the national forest trails and downtown Willis.
Lake Conroe's north shore is where the training gets used, so the in-home lesson and follow-ups happen on your dock and along your shoreline. The Sam Houston National Forest trails give a leashed recall the distractions it needs, deer scent and long sightlines, and the forest's own site carries the current rules for dogs and the trails. Downtown Willis provides the slow sidewalk, the parked trucks and the neighbors who want to say hello.
During the stay, Platinum and VIP field trips use the public places nearest the training home in Cypress, including the lake there. Around water we keep the long line on until the recall is proven, and we keep in mind that Texas lakes and their edges can hold alligators; Texas Parks and Wildlife is the source for current guidance. Summer outdoor sessions run early and late, and the water work waits for the cooler hours.

Lessons at the lake
In-home lessons in Willis are $220, and the dock is the classroom.
A private lesson at your Willis home costs $220, and $160 if you bring the dog to Cypress. At the lake, lessons are about specific places: the dock, the boat, the shoreline, the tree line where the deer come through. One lesson sets up the plan; the follow-ups after Platinum and VIP are unlimited, which matters when the property keeps testing the dog in new ways.
For a puppy under four months, the Puppy Development Bundle is four private sessions of 45 to 60 minutes, $750 at your home or $550 in Cypress. A lake puppy learns the water rule before it ever leaps off a dock, a crate it likes for the truck and the boat, potty habits, socialization and the recall word that will matter for the rest of its life.

Gold is two weeks for $2,500 for the manners set with one lesson afterward, and Silver is a one-week foundation for $1,500.

No, but it is far enough that the transport is the sensible choice. Drop-off is welcome if you want to see the training home for yourself.
Can you make my dog safe to be off leash on the property?
The VIP program is built for that, with the e-collar, duration stays and unlimited in-home lessons afterward, and it is the reason most Willis families call. Platinum gets a dog reliable on a long line and in town. Neither makes a dog safe to ignore near a road or open water, so supervision stays part of the deal.
Will you teach my dog to behave in the boat?
We teach the parts that make a boat dog: a stay on the dock while the boat is loaded, a down that holds while the boat moves, and a recall that beats the water. The boat itself we rehearse at your home during the handover and lessons, with a life jacket on the dog.
What about alligators at the lake?
Texas lakes and their edges can hold them, and the sensible rules are a leash near the water, no swimming at dawn or dusk in quiet coves, and a recall that works before the dog is ever loose at the shore. Texas Parks and Wildlife publishes current guidance, and a trained dog is easier to keep out of trouble.
How do updates work if we are an hour away?
The same as for a family down the street. Photo and video updates go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and you can see the recall, the place command and the field trips as they happen. When the program ends we bring the dog home and run the handover in person on your dock.
