Board and train, Riverstone
Board and train in Riverstone: for Riverstone and south Sugar Land
Riverstone has more neighbors to greet per mile than almost anywhere in Fort Bend: lake trails, resort pools, a weekend crowd and a dog on every third leash. A Riverstone dog needs to say hello with four feet on the ground and walk past the ones it does not need to meet.

The stay, from Riverstone
Up 99 from University Boulevard, or a pickup at the lake.
Riverstone families are split between driving and transport. The drive is 59 or University Boulevard to 99, then north to 290, about 45 minutes outside rush hour, and families who make it drop off in the morning with the dog's food, records and medication and return for the go-home session at the training home. The $250 transport brings our trainer to your door, includes a look at the house and the trail, and puts the go-home session back on that trail at the end. With VIP the ride and the in-home handover are part of the price.
The stay is the same for both. A quiet first day in the house, then daily training inside, on the sidewalks around the training home, in the stores on 290 and at the lake. Photos and clips arrive on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The go-home session teaches the family the handling, and in Riverstone that means the greeting, because the first neighbor will appear before you reach the end of the driveway.

What a Riverstone dog practices
The polite hello, the busy trail, the pool deck and the weekend.
Greeting is the Riverstone skill. A dog that jumps on every neighbor is a dog that gets talked about, so the stay builds a sit for hello, four feet on the ground when someone stops, and a settle while the conversation runs long. Then the trail: a loose leash past strollers, bikes and other dogs on a Saturday morning, and neutrality to the ones that lunge first. These are taught on quiet streets near the training home and proofed in public during Platinum field trips.
The pool deck and the lake edge need a wait and a recall out of the water, built at the lake near the training home on a long line. Cullinan Park in Sugar Land is a good follow-up venue for trail work once the dog is home; the City of Sugar Land publishes its rules. Summer in Riverstone is a pool-and-patio season, so from May to September the outdoor sessions run early and late and the store aisles along 290 carry the afternoons; the AVMA's heat page is the reference.

- A settle while the neighbors talk
Which program
Gold for the over-friendly dog, Platinum for the one that lunges, VIP for the finished walk.
The over-friendly Riverstone dog that jumps, pulls toward every person and cannot settle on the patio fits Gold: two weeks at $2,500 for sit, place, the structured walk, door boundaries and impulse control, plus the go-home session and one follow-up lesson. The dog that barks and lunges at other dogs on the trail, panics when left in a quiet house or guards the front door fits Platinum: three weeks at $3,750 with behavior modification, field trips and unlimited private lessons afterward.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks with the Mini-Educator included, transport included and the handover plus unlimited lessons at your home, and it produces a dog reliable off leash where that is allowed. For most Riverstone families Gold or Platinum is the honest fit, and our team says which on the consultation call. Silver at $1,500 is a one-week refresher for a graduate who has slipped.
- Gold: jumping, pulling, no patio settle
- Platinum: trail reactivity, separation panic, door guarding
- VIP: off leash where allowed, everything at home
Prices and the deposit
The Riverstone price is the published price.
Gold $2,500, Platinum $3,750, VIP $10,000. The reservation deposit is $250, it holds your dates, and it comes off the program price. Transport is $250 for pickup and return with the first lesson at your home included, a choice at 45 minutes that about half of Riverstone makes, and VIP includes it. Fort Bend County's site is the reference for county animal rules; the HOA covers the community's own trail and leash rules, and the stay gives your dog the manners to meet both.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How far is Riverstone from your training home?
About 45 minutes outside rush hour: 59 or University Boulevard to 99, north to 290, then a few minutes into Cypress. Families who would rather not drive it twice add the $250 transport, which also moves the first lesson and the go-home session onto their own lake trail.
My dog is friendly but jumps on everyone. Is that Gold?
Usually, yes. Jumping, pulling toward people and no settle are manners, and Gold's two weeks build the sit for hello, four feet on the ground and place. If the dog also barks or lunges at other dogs on the trail, that is reactivity and it belongs in Platinum with its unlimited lessons.
Can the go-home session happen on the lake trail?
With transport or VIP, yes. Our trainer runs it at your front door and on the trail behind your house, because that is where the greeting and the leash matter. If you drop off and pick up in Cypress, the session is at the training home and a lesson on the trail can follow.
Do you visit Cullinan Park during the stay?
No; the daily field trips during the stay use the stores, sidewalks and lake near the training home in Cypress. Cullinan Park in Sugar Land is a follow-up venue once the dog is home, and Platinum's unlimited lessons can be scheduled there. The City of Sugar Land publishes the park rules.
What if my dog is not good with other dogs in the house?
Tell our team on the consultation call. The training home takes a limited number of dogs, each with its own crate and place, and introductions are controlled; reactive and dog-selective dogs are a regular part of the work and usually the reason a family books Platinum in the first place.
