The Memorial Villages
Dog training in the Memorial Villages: Hunters Creek to Hedwig, acreage inside the loop
The villages are acreage inside the loop: big lots, long driveways, gates, staff, pools and a bayou trail at the end of the street. A village dog has a country dog's freedom and a city dog's distractions, and it needs training for both.

How it works from the villages
Lessons at the house, or a stay with the handover at the gate.
Village families use both formats. In-home lessons at $220 a session work the gate, the driveway, the pool and the guests exactly where they happen, and they suit a dog with some structure. A stay in the training home in Cypress, about half an hour up I-10 and 290, resets a dog that needs the whole foundation; most families add the $250 transport so we collect and return the dog and run the go-home session at the house, with the staff present so everyone holds the same rules.
The dog lives indoors with our trainers for the whole program, and the Monday, Wednesday and Friday updates let the whole household follow along.

Village dogs
A big lot, a gate, staff, guests and a bayou at the end of the street.
The village dog is a Lab, doodle or shepherd with an acre to roam and no boundaries on it: out of the gate when the landscapers arrive, into the pool during a party, barking at every delivery and guarding the driveway from the housekeeper's car. On the bayou trail it lunges at bikes and ignores the recall along the water. The Dobermans and shepherds add real guarding at the gate that needs an honest plan.
Boundaries at the gate and the pool, a calm greeting for staff and guests, neutrality on the trail and a recall that holds near the bayou are the village curriculum. Gold covers the manners; Platinum covers the guarding and the trail reactivity with unlimited lessons afterwards; VIP produces a dog reliable off leash on the whole property with the Mini-Educator taught to you at home.
- A boundary at the gate that holds when the landscapers come
- A calm greeting for staff, guests and deliveries
- A wait at the pool and a recall out of the water
- Neutrality on the bayou trail past bikes and dogs
Where we train near you
The bayou trails, Memorial Park and Memorial Drive.
Lessons and go-home sessions in the villages start on your own lot, the gate, the driveway and the pool, then move to the Buffalo Bayou trails behind the villages for neutrality and recall on a long line, Memorial Park and Terry Hershey for distance, and the stores and patios along Memorial Drive and Voss for the settle. The stay builds the same skills around Cypress first and then proves them on field trips the dog has earned.
The bayou has alligators from spring and floods in storm season; the leash stays on near the water until the recall is proven, and crate calm is part of every stay.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Can you train our dog with the household staff present?
Yes, and it is the right way to do it. The go-home session and the in-home lessons include everyone who handles the dog, so the housekeeper, the nanny and the family hold the same rules at the gate and the door.
Can you stop our dog going out of the gate when the landscapers come?
Yes. A boundary at the gate is taught with a long line and a clear edge, proofed with real arrivals, and finished with the Mini-Educator in VIP for a dog that will be loose on the lot. Until then, the gate is managed.
How far are the villages from the training home?
Around half an hour to Cypress along I-10 and 290 outside rush hour. Families drop off in Cypress or add the $250 transport, which brings the first lesson to the house.
Our Doberman guards the driveway. Which program?
Platinum, starting with the full story on the free call and an in-person consultation. Guarding is structure, a management plan and controlled exposure to real arrivals at the gate; the unlimited lessons afterwards keep the household consistent.
