The stay, from Cross Creek Ranch
Thirty-five minutes to Cypress, and most families make the drive.
The route is FM 1463 or 1093 to 99, north to 290, about 35 minutes outside rush hour, and Cross Creek Ranch families usually drive it: drop-off in the morning with the dog's food, records and medication, a few minutes with our trainer, then back to Fulshear. The go-home session at the end is at the training home. Families who want the handover on the creek trail add the $250 transport, which includes the first lesson at your home; VIP includes it.
The first day in the house is quiet. Every day after is training: the crate and place inside, the structured walk on the streets around the training home, the hardware and pet store aisles on 290, and the lake for water work and recall. Photos and video arrive on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The go-home session teaches the family the handling, and for an active family that means the trail pace, not just the driveway.

What a Cross Creek Ranch dog practices
The creek trail at a run, the dog park fence, the lake and the bike loop.
An active family's dog has to hold a loose leash at a jog, not just a stroll, and pass runners, bikes and other dogs on the Flewellen Creek trails without a lunge. That walk is built at a walk first, on quiet streets near the training home, then at pace, then in public places during Platinum field trips. The dog park is a separate question: neutrality outside the fence is the skill we build, and whether a particular dog belongs inside it is a conversation for the go-home session.
The lakes and the creek ask for a wait at the edge and a recall out of the water, built on a long line at the lake near the training home. The City of Fulshear and Fort Bend County publish the park and leash rules for the area, and the HOA covers the community's own trails. Hurricane season, June 1 to November 30, is the same here as in the city, and our team follows the National Weather Service through every late-summer stay.
- A loose leash at a jog on the creek trail
- Neutral to dogs behind the dog park fence
- A wait at the lake and a recall out
- Calm beside the kids' bikes
Which program
Gold for the dog that pulls at a jog, Platinum for the one that lunges, VIP for off leash on the trail.
Gold, two weeks at $2,500, fits the friendly Cross Creek Ranch dog that pulls, jumps on visitors and cannot settle after the trail: sit, place, the structured walk, door boundaries and impulse control, with a go-home session and one more lesson. Platinum, three weeks at $3,750, is for the dog that barks and lunges at other dogs on the trail or outside the dog park, guards the door or panics in storms, with behavior modification, field trips and unlimited private lessons afterward.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks with the Mini-Educator included, transport included and the handover and unlimited lessons at your home, and it produces a dog reliable off leash where the rules allow. For a family that runs the creek trail every morning and wants the dog beside them without a leash where permitted, it is the program. For most, Gold or Platinum is the honest fit and our team says so.
- Gold: pulling, jumping, no settle
- Platinum: trail reactivity, door guarding, storms
- VIP: off leash where allowed, e-collar included

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How far is Cross Creek Ranch from the training home?
About 35 minutes outside rush hour: FM 1463 or 1093 to 99, north to 290, then a few minutes into Cypress. It is a drive most families make for drop-off and the go-home session, and the $250 transport is there for the ones who want the handover on the creek trail.
Can you train my dog to run with me?
Yes. The structured walk is built at a walk, then at pace, and a dog that holds a loose leash at a jog past other runners and bikes is a normal Gold outcome for a friendly dog. If the dog lunges at other dogs on the trail, that is Platinum, and the unlimited lessons afterward can be on the trail.
Should my dog use the community dog park after the stay?
Some should and some should not, and the go-home session is where we tell you which. Neutrality outside the fence is built during the stay; whether a dog enjoys or tolerates the inside of a dog park depends on the dog, and a reactive or dog-selective dog is better on the trail.
Where is the go-home session?
At the training home in Cypress for families who drive, which is most of Cross Creek Ranch. With the $250 transport or VIP it happens at your house and on the trail behind it, with the first lesson at home included. Either way every person who will hold the leash should be there.
What happens with the training during a summer stay?
Outdoor work moves to early morning and evening from May through September, pavement is checked before every walk, and the store aisles on 290 and the house carry the heat of the day. The lake work is a summer favorite for obvious reasons, and the dog trains every day regardless.
