Champions, Houston
Dog training in Champions: Champions and Willowbrook, 20 minutes away
Champions is the older, established side of northwest Houston: mature trees, golf course neighborhoods, families who have had dogs for decades and a Willowbrook shopping district ten minutes away. The dogs we see from Champions are second and third dogs whose owners want them better trained than the last one.

How it works from Champions
A short drive, and Willowbrook is on our store list.
Champions is about as close to the training home as Klein and Jersey Village, so drop-off is the pattern: a short drive in, a short drive back for the go-home session, and in-home lessons at $220 for the follow-up. The $250 transport exists for the family that wants the handover at home, and VIP includes it.
The Willowbrook stores are already on our neutrality field-trip list, so a Champions dog in a Platinum stay is proofed in the very aisles it will visit with you. The dog lives in the house with our trainers, and you get photo and video updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- About 20 minutes each way for drop-off
- Field trips in the Willowbrook stores you already use
- In-home lessons and the $750 puppy bundle
- Updates three times a week
Champions dogs
Experienced owners, a new dog, and the walk that is not what it used to be.
The Champions call often comes from someone who has owned dogs for thirty years and is baffled by the new one: a doodle with more energy than the old Lab ever had, a rescue with a fear layer the family did not expect, a shepherd that guards the golf course fence line. Experience with dogs is not the same as structure for this dog, and the fix is the same as for a first-time owner, delivered with less explaining.
Gold installs the manners and the walk. Platinum handles the reactivity on the greenbelt and the guarding at the fence, with field trips and unlimited lessons afterwards. The go-home session is short with experienced owners and long with the dog, because the handling is usually the part that needs adjusting.
- A loose leash on the greenbelt past golf carts and dogs
- Quiet at the fence line on a golf course lot
- A calm greeting at the door for a rescue with a fear layer
- A settle at the patios along 1960
Where we train near you
The greenbelts, Meyer Park and Willowbrook.
Lessons and go-home sessions in Champions use your own street first, then the greenbelts and golf course paths for loose-leash work past carts and dogs, Meyer Park for recall on a long line, the Willowbrook stores for neutrality around crowds and carts, and the patios along 1960 and Cypresswood for the settle. During the stay the same skills are built around Cypress, and some field trips come to Willowbrook itself.
Mature trees make Champions one of the shadier places to walk in summer, but the pavement test still applies from May to September, and the store aisles carry the afternoons.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How far is Champions from the training home?
About 15 to 25 minutes to Cypress via 1960 and 290 or the back roads outside rush hour. Most Champions families drop off and pick up themselves.
We have owned dogs for years. Do we still need the go-home session?
Yes, and experienced owners usually get the most out of it, because it is short on explanation and long on the handling adjustments for this particular dog. The follow-up lessons are where the last habits get ironed out.
Do you train in the Willowbrook stores?
Yes. The Willowbrook area stores are on our neutrality field-trip list for Platinum and VIP dogs, and lessons after a stay can use them too.
Can you help a rescue that is scared of the golf carts?
Yes. Fear of moving things is worked at a distance the dog can hold, closer over days, with structure underneath it. Platinum does that daily for three weeks and includes unlimited lessons afterwards on your own greenbelt.
