Puppy prices by age
How much is puppy training?
Puppy prices confuse people because the right product changes with age. A twelve-week-old and a seven-month-old need different things, and the price follows the need.

The short version
Under four months it is the $550 bundle; older puppies move to Gold at $2,500.
The bundle is four private sessions, each 45 to 60 minutes to match a young puppy's attention span, at $550 in Cypress or $750 with our trainer coming to your home. It is built for puppies under four months and covers the foundations that matter at that age: sit, place, stay, recall, crate and potty guidance, socialization, and stopping the nipping and jumping before they become habits.
From about five months a puppy has the stamina and focus for daily training, and adolescence is arriving. That is when a stay makes sense: Gold at two weeks for $2,500 for manners and impulse control, or Platinum at three weeks for $3,750 when a puppy is already showing fear of strangers or lunging at other dogs. Both end with a go-home session.
- Under 4 months: the bundle, $550 or $750 in-home
- 5 months and up: Gold, $2,500
- Fearful or reactive puppies: Platinum, $3,750
- One-off help: a lesson at $160 or $220

The reasoning
Young puppies need coached owners more than they need a trainer's house.
Under four months the vaccine series is usually incomplete, the bladder is tiny and the socialization window is wide open. What a puppy that age needs is a household that handles him well every hour of the day, and no trainer can do that from another house. So the bundle teaches you: how to run the crate, when to take him out, how to introduce sounds and surfaces, how to end the nipping. Four sessions spread over a few weeks is the right dose.
Older puppies flip the equation. A six-month-old Goldendoodle from Bridgeland who drags the kids down the sidewalk needs hundreds of consistent repetitions on the leash and at the door, which is what a Gold stay in our trainer's home delivers and what a family with school runs and work cannot. The price is higher because the work moves to us.
The math
Per session the bundle is our cheapest training; per result, the timing is what saves money.
Four sessions for $550 works out to under one hundred and forty dollars per session in Cypress, below our standard lesson rate of $160, and the in-home bundle at $750 sits below the $220 in-home rate for the same reason. It is priced as a package because puppies need the sequence, not a single visit, and because the homework between sessions is where the training happens.
The larger saving is in what you avoid. A puppy who learns the crate, the door and recall before five months rarely needs behavior modification at a year. The families who spend the most on training are often the ones who waited until the pulling, the fear or the resource guarding was established, then needed Platinum. Early money is cheaper money.

Start the bundle around eight to ten weeks, once your vet is comfortable with home-based training.
Practice crate, potty and recall daily between sessions.
Use the socialization homework: carried outings, car rides, calm visitors.
At four to five months, ask our team whether a Gold stay is the next step or whether lessons are enough.
Houston specifics
Raising a puppy in Houston changes the homework, and the bundle is built around it.
Potty training in July means trips outside at five in the morning and after dark, because midday concrete in Houston can burn a puppy's pads; our trainers teach the pavement test at the first session. Socialization has to work around the vaccine schedule and around fire ants in the grass, so early outings are carried, in a cart at the pet stores along 290, or on a mat on a bench at a quiet park.
The calendar matters too. A puppy who arrives in spring meets hurricane season, which runs June 1 to November 30, before his first birthday, and one who arrives in late fall meets New Year fireworks at ten weeks. The bundle's socialization plan includes sound exposure for exactly those nights, and the crate work gives him a safe place when they come.
- Summer potty trips at dawn and after dark
- Carried socialization until the vet clears him
- Fire ants: check the grass before you set him down
- Fireworks prep built into the sound work
What it means for your puppy
Breed, age and temperament decide which price applies.
A Lab or Golden puppy at ten weeks: the bundle, then usually nothing more than a lesson or two. A German shepherd, Malinois or cane corso puppy from acreage in Tomball or Magnolia: the bundle, then a Gold or Platinum stay at five to seven months, because working breeds hit adolescence hard. A small breed in a Heights townhome: the bundle, with extra focus on potty timing and alone time.
A puppy who is already fearful, hiding from visitors or growling over food at four months is not a bundle case. Tell our team on the call; we will often recommend the in-home bundle first, so the trainer sees the behavior where it happens, and plan a Platinum stay once the vaccine series is complete and the puppy is old enough.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Is $550 for four puppy sessions a good price?
It is our lowest per-session rate, below the standard $160 lesson, and it exists because young puppies need a short sequence rather than one long visit. The in-home version is $750. Compared with fixing an established problem at a year old with a Platinum stay, it is the cheapest training you will ever buy.
Can a puppy under four months do board and train instead?
We do not recommend it, and we will say so. The vaccine series is usually unfinished, and the skills that matter at that age are household skills. The bundle gets you there; a Gold stay from about five months builds on it. Puppy board and train has its own page if you want the detail.
How much is puppy training in my home rather than in Cypress?
The bundle is $750 in-home against $550 at our Cypress location, and single lessons are $220 in-home against $160. In-home is worth it when the problems are the crate, the yard or the family's routine, and when the drive from Katy or The Woodlands would eat the session.
My puppy is six months old, is it too late for the bundle?
The bundle is built for puppies under four months. At six months your puppy is an adolescent, and the better spend is a Gold stay at $2,500, or private lessons at $160 if the issues are small. Nothing is too late; the product just changes with the age of the dog.
Does puppy training include potty training?
The bundle includes crate and potty guidance: the schedule, the crate setup, the cleanup rules and the summer timing that Houston heat forces. The household does the actual potty training between sessions, because it happens at your door and not ours. Our team coaches it and troubleshoots by phone.
