Board and train, Shadow Creek Ranch
Board and train in Shadow Creek Ranch: for the 288 side of Pearland
Shadow Creek Ranch has a family on every corner, a lake behind every third street and a trail system that is busy from the first cool morning in October. A dog here needs to greet without jumping, walk without pulling and stay calm when storm season turns the sky green.

The stay, from Shadow Creek Ranch
A pickup on your street, a stay off 290, and the handover back at your door.
Fifty minutes each way, twice, is the reason most Shadow Creek Ranch families let our trainer do the driving. The $250 transport starts with a visit to your house: the front door where the jumping happens, the trail behind the fence, the crate. The dog rides north around the Beltway and settles into the training home with a walk, a crate and dinner on place. Families who want to see the house drive it instead and do both ends in Cypress.
The program runs every day after that, in the house and out in the stores, on the sidewalks and at the lake near Cypress, and photos and video come Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On the last day the dog rides home and the go-home session runs at your front door, on your sidewalk and around the first lake loop, with the neighbors' kids and strollers as the practical exam. VIP includes the ride and the in-home handover as standard.

What a Shadow Creek Ranch dog practices
Greeting without jumping, the trail on a Saturday, and the storm.
The Shadow Creek Ranch dog meets more people in a week than a Cypress farm dog meets in a year. Greeting manners come first: four feet on the ground when a neighbor stops, a sit while the kids say hello, a settle at the pool fence. Then the trail: a loose leash past strollers, bikes and every other Lab on a Saturday morning, and a wait at the lake's edge. These are built on quiet streets near the training home and proofed in public places during a Platinum stay's field trips.
Storms are the third piece. Pearland and the Brazoria County side of the metro take hurricane season seriously, and a dog that panics in thunder makes an evacuation harder; crate calm and a settle on place are practiced through the stay so the dog has somewhere to be when the weather turns. Ready.gov's pet page and the National Weather Service Houston office are the household references, and the City of Pearland publishes the park rules for the trails.
- Four on the floor when a neighbor stops
- A loose leash on the Saturday trail
- A wait at the lake with kids nearby
- Crate calm through a thunderstorm

Which program
Gold for the greeter, Platinum for the lunger, VIP for the off-leash finish.
The friendly Shadow Creek Ranch dog that jumps on every neighbor and drags you around the lake fits Gold: two weeks at $2,500, the manners set, the go-home session and one more lesson. The dog that barks and lunges at other dogs on the trail, guards the front door from the kids' friends or shakes through storms fits Platinum: three weeks at $3,750, behavior modification, field trips and unlimited private lessons afterward. Platinum is the most booked stay here, and the unlimited lessons are why.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks for the family that wants full off-leash reliability, with the Mini-Educator included, transport included and the handover plus unlimited lessons at your home. For a neighborhood this busy the finish is worth it for some families and unnecessary for most; our team says which on the consultation call. Silver at $1,500 is a one-week refresher for graduates only.
- Gold: jumping, pulling, no settle
- Platinum: trail reactivity, door guarding, storm panic
- VIP: off leash, e-collar, everything at home
Prices and the deposit
Published prices, the $250 deposit, and the $250 ride most families add.
Gold $2,500, Platinum $3,750, VIP $10,000: the same numbers on the 288 side of Pearland as in Cypress. The deposit is $250; it holds the dates and is credited to the balance. Transport is $250 for pickup and return with the first lesson at your home included, the practical choice at 50 minutes, and VIP includes it. If a tropical system tracks toward Brazoria County during a stay, our team talks with you about timing and an early return; the dogs live in a house with a weather plan.
| Program | Length | Price | After the stay |

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How far is Shadow Creek Ranch from the training home?
About 50 minutes outside rush hour, 288 to Beltway 8 to 290, and longer at the wrong hour. That is why most families here take the $250 pickup and return rather than driving four legs, and why the go-home session for transport families happens at their own front door.
My dog jumps on every neighbor and every child. Which program?
Gold, if the dog is friendly and the jumping is enthusiasm; two weeks builds the greeting manners, the sit and the settle, and the go-home session shows you how to keep them. If the dog also barks and lunges at other dogs on the trail, it is Platinum, because that is reactivity and it needs the longer stay.
What happens if a hurricane comes during the stay?
Our team follows the National Weather Service through hurricane season, June 1 to November 30. The dogs live in a house with a plan, and if a storm is tracking toward the coast we talk with each family about an early return or holding the dog through it. Ready.gov's pet page covers the household side.
Can the go-home session include the lake trail?
Yes, for transport and VIP families. Our trainer runs the handover at your front door, on your sidewalk and around the lake loop, because a Shadow Creek Ranch dog's habits live on that trail. Drop-off families get the session at the training home and can book a lesson on the trail later.
Is the training home a facility?
No. It is our trainer's own house in Cypress, with a limited number of dogs, crates and place beds inside, and daily trips into real stores, sidewalks and the lake. That is why the manners transfer to a busy neighborhood: the dog learned them in a home and in public, not in a run.
