The calls sound alike: a Lab that knocks a four-year-old flat at the bus stop, a doodle that snatches every sandwich at a backyard birthday party, a shepherd mix that grumbles when the neighbor's kids reach over the fence. Most of it is a dog nobody taught how to behave around small people. Some of it is an early warning that deserves attention now.
Gold, two weeks, covers the manners a family street asks for: place, a loose leash, doors, four paws on the ground and impulse control around food and toys. Platinum, three weeks, is the program once a dog has started to growl at children, guard its bowl or lunge on the leash, because it adds behavior modification, public field trips and unlimited private lessons afterwards, so every person in the household learns the same rules.

The training home is our trainer's own house in Cypress, off 290 near Fry Road. From Shadow Creek Ranch that is about 50 minutes outside rush hour, up 288 and around Beltway 8. That is why most families here book the $250 transportation service: our team collects the dog at your front door, brings it home when the program ends, and teaches the first lesson in your own kitchen and on your own street that day.
Families who want to see the house first are welcome to drive up, drop off and come back for the go-home session in Cypress. Only a limited number of dogs are in training at a time, and each one lives indoors rather than in a kennel run. Photos and video go out every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so a busy household can watch the leash and the place command come together between school runs.

While your dog is with us, field trips happen near the training home in Cypress. Once it is back in Pearland, the go-home session and every follow-up lesson move to Shadow Creek Ranch itself. The lake loops give us joggers, strollers and other dogs at a distance we can control. The nature trail is the quieter stretch where a heel has to hold past birds and the smell of water. The stores along 288 supply automatic doors, carts and strangers for neutrality work. The City of Pearland publishes the local animal rules; read the current version there.
Water shapes the safety rules here. Any lake or detention pond in the Houston area can hold an alligator, so the leash stays on at the bank and recall practice near water runs on a long line. Hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30, and a dog that rests quietly in a crate rides out a flood watch or an evacuation drive far better. From May to September outdoor work moves to early morning and evening.

Lessons and puppies in Shadow Creek Ranch
Lessons at your house for $220, and a puppy bundle that includes the kids.
Private lessons at your Shadow Creek Ranch home are $220 a session, or $160 if you bring the dog to the training home in Cypress. They fit a dog with some foundation and one clear problem, such as the front door, the bus-stop greeting or the leash, and they are the natural follow-up after a stay. Graduates of Platinum and VIP get unlimited follow-up lessons, and in a house with children we use them to coach every family member, including the nine-year-old.
For a puppy under four months, the Puppy Development Bundle is four sessions of 45 to 60 minutes, $750 at your home or $550 in Cypress. It covers sit, place, stay, recall, crate and potty routines, socialization and the nipping and jumping that puppies aim at children first. We teach the kids their part as well: how to stand still like a tree, when to walk away, and why the puppy gets a quiet crate break after a busy hour.

Silver is one week for $1,500, a starting point rather than a behavior change. Gold is two weeks for $2,500. Platinum is three weeks for $3,750 and our most popular program, with behavior modification, field trips and unlimited private lessons afterwards. VIP is six weeks for $10,000 with the Mini-Educator e-collar, transport and an in-home handover included. On Silver, Gold or Platinum the round-trip transport from Pearland is $250, and a $250 deposit reserves any program.

Your dog stays with us, crated and cared for through the weather, and you hear from our team directly. If roads between Cypress and Pearland flood, we hold the dog safely and set a new return date with you. Crate calm, taught in every stay, helps at home in the next storm too.
Can you train my dog to stay out of the lakes?
Yes. We teach a wait at the edge and a release word, then a recall away from water on a long line, and the go-home session proofs it on your own lake path. Because any Houston-area lake can hold an alligator, we still ask families to keep the leash on near the bank, however good the recall gets.
Do you teach lessons in Shadow Creek Ranch?
