Board and train, Pasadena
Board and train in Pasadena: for the southeast side, with transport
Pasadena runs on shifts. A dog in a refinery household may see one owner at six in the morning and the other at midnight, and the training has to survive that rotation. The stay builds a dog that follows rules rather than a schedule, and the handover is timed to whoever is home.

- $250 door-to-door pickup and return anywhere in Pasadena, first lesson at your home included; we recommend it at this distance, and VIP includes it.

- Where we train near you
- Strawberry Park's paths and fields · Burke Crenshaw Park's lake loop on a leash · the stores along Fairmont Parkway · the 290 store aisles and the lake near the training home in Cypress
- Homes and yards
- Older neighborhoods near downtown Pasadena and newer subdivisions out toward Fairmont Parkway; refinery shift schedules and a dog home alone at odd hours.
The stay, from Pasadena
A pickup that works around the shift, then a house off 290.
The transport is the practical answer for Pasadena. Our trainer meets you at home at a time that fits the shift, looks at the door, the yard and the crate, and takes the dog north around the Beltway. That ride is the first piece of training: a dog that rides calmly to Cypress has already started. Families who want to see the training home are welcome to drive it, about 50 to 60 minutes outside rush hour, and do the drop-off and the go-home session there instead.
At the house the dog settles in on day one and trains on every day after, in the home and in the stores, on the sidewalks and at the lake nearby. Monday, Wednesday and Friday you get photos and clips, which matters more for a shift household because whoever is off can watch them. The go-home session comes to your home with the transport, scheduled for the hours when the household is actually awake and together.

What a Pasadena dog practices
Quiet at odd hours, a leash at Burke Crenshaw and a settle at Strawberry Park.
A dog that lives with shift work barks at a door that opens at strange times and pulls hard on the one walk it gets. The stay builds the quiet cue and the crate calm first, so the dog rests through a 5 a.m. departure and a midnight return. Then the structured walk: taught on the training home's streets, proofed in the store aisles on 290, and ready for the loop around the lake at Burke Crenshaw Park and the fields at Strawberry Park. Both parks are run by the City of Pasadena, which publishes the leash rules and hours.
Neutrality is the other Pasadena skill. Fairmont Parkway's stores, the sidewalks near the schools and the trucks on every street ask a dog to ignore a lot. Field trips during a Platinum stay build that in public places near Cypress, and the go-home session at your house applies it to your block. Summer follows the Houston rule: outdoor work at dawn and dusk from May to September, and the pavement test before any midday step.
- Crate calm through a 5 a.m. departure
- Quiet at the door at any hour
- A loose leash on the Burke Crenshaw lake loop
- Neutral to trucks and foot traffic on Fairmont
Which program
Platinum for most Pasadena dogs, Gold for the friendly ones, VIP for the in-home finish.
Gold at $2,500 is two weeks for a friendly dog that needs the manners set: sit, place, loose leash, door boundaries, no jumping. Platinum at $3,750 is three weeks and carries the behavior modification for a dog that lunges, guards or panics, plus the field trips and unlimited private lessons afterward. The lessons matter for a shift household because our trainer can schedule them with whichever owner is off, and there is no cap on how many you use.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks for the family that wants the dog fully reliable off leash, with the Mini-Educator included, transport included and the handover plus unlimited lessons at home. Choose it for the finish, not the distance; the $250 transport already covers the ride for Gold and Platinum. On the consultation call our team matches the dog to the program and says so if the smaller one will do.
- Gold: manners in two weeks
- Platinum: behavior work, field trips, lessons without a cap
- VIP: off leash, e-collar included, everything at home
Prices and the deposit
Published prices, a $250 deposit, and the ride we recommend.
Gold is $2,500, Platinum $3,750, VIP $10,000, the same in Pasadena as anywhere in the service area. The reservation deposit is $250 and comes off the program price. Transport is a flat $250 for pickup and return with the first lesson at your home included, and at this distance we suggest it for every Gold and Platinum stay; VIP includes it. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30 and Pasadena is close to the coast, so our team keeps an eye on the National Weather Service and Ready Harris and talks with you about timing before a late-summer stay.
| Program | Length | Price | Fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | 2 weeks | $2,500 | Friendly dog, manners and the walk |
| Platinum | 3 weeks | $3,750 | Reactivity, anxiety, aggression, field trips |
| VIP | 6 weeks | $10,000 | Off-leash reliability, e-collar and transport included |

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Why do you recommend transport for Pasadena?
Because two round trips around the Beltway at 50 to 60 minutes each way rarely fit a shift rotation. The $250 pickup and return puts the first lesson and the go-home session at your house, at an hour when the household is home, and it means the dog's problems get handled where they happen.
Can the go-home session be at 7 a.m. or 8 p.m.?
Our hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, so yes. Tell our team the rotation on the consultation call and the delivery and the follow-up lessons are booked around it. Both owners being present for the handover is the goal, and we schedule for that.
My dog barks at every noise while I sleep during the day. Does the stay help?
That is a quiet cue and a crate and place foundation, and it is core to every program. In the training home the dog learns to rest through doors, deliveries and other dogs, and the go-home session shows you how to keep it. A dog that is anxious rather than alert belongs in Platinum.
Can you take my dog to Strawberry Park during the stay?
The stay happens in Cypress, so the daily field trips use the stores, sidewalks and lake near the training home. Your Pasadena parks come in afterward: the go-home session at your house covers your street, and follow-up lessons can meet you at Burke Crenshaw or Strawberry Park to proof the walk where you use it.
What if a hurricane threatens during the stay?
Our team follows the National Weather Service Houston office and Ready Harris through hurricane season, June 1 to November 30. The dogs live in a house with a plan for weather, and if a storm is tracking toward the coast we talk with every family about timing, an early return or holding the dog through it.
