Board and train, Augusta Pines
Board and train in Augusta Pines: twenty minutes from the training home
Augusta Pines dogs are big and their yards are bigger, which is the problem: a shepherd that has never left a golf-course lot has no idea how to walk past another dog on a quiet street. The stay takes that dog into the world and hands it back with manners.

The stay, from Augusta Pines
Twenty minutes down 2920 in the morning, and the same road home.
Augusta Pines to the training home is 2920 west to 290, about 20 minutes outside rush hour, so a stay here starts with a morning drop-off, not a pickup. Bring the dog's food, its vaccination records and any medication, and give our trainer a few minutes to hear what it does on the lot and at the door. The $250 transport exists for the family that wants the handover on their own acre, and VIP includes it, but most Augusta Pines families simply drive.
The first day is a settle: a walk, the crate, dinner on place. After that the dog trains every day in the house, on the sidewalks around it, in the hardware and pet stores along 290 and at the lake, and the photos and video on Monday, Wednesday and Friday show a big dog doing small, calm things it never did at home. The go-home session is at the training home, twenty minutes from your gate.

What an Augusta Pines dog practices
Leaving the lot: sidewalks, store aisles, the greenway and other dogs.
A big dog with a big yard gets plenty of exercise and almost no exposure, and that is the Augusta Pines pattern: a Doberman or a shepherd that is perfect at home and a handful anywhere else. The stay is built around leaving the lot. The structured walk is taught on the training home's streets, then in the store aisles on 290, then in public places on Platinum field trips, until a quiet golf-course street with one other dog on it is nothing.
Meyer Park and the Spring Creek Greenway, both Harris County Precinct 4 parks, are where the follow-up lessons go once the dog is home; the precinct's page has the trail rules. The lot itself gets a recall that works at distance and a wait at the gate, because a big dog that leaves a big yard on its own terms ends up on the golf course. July 4 on open lots is loud, so crate calm is built before the holiday; the AVMA's fireworks page covers the rest.
- A structured walk off the lot for the first time
- Neutral to other dogs on a quiet street
- A recall at distance across a big yard
- Crate calm before July 4
Which program
Gold for the big friendly dog, Platinum for the guardian, VIP for off leash on the lot.
Gold, two weeks at $2,500, fits the big friendly Augusta Pines dog that pulls, jumps on guests and has never been anywhere: sit, place, the structured walk, door boundaries and impulse control, with a go-home session and one more lesson. Platinum, three weeks at $3,750, fits the guardian breed that barks at the fence, guards the door from visitors or lunges at dogs on the greenway, with behavior modification, field trips and unlimited private lessons afterward, and it is the stay big-dog families here book most.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks with the Mini-Educator included and introduced properly, transport included and the handover plus unlimited lessons on your lot, for a dog reliable off leash across the whole property and beyond it where allowed. For an Augusta Pines family with an acre and a big dog it is a genuine fit; for a dog that only needs manners it is too much, and our team says so on the consultation call.
- Gold: big, friendly, never been anywhere
- Platinum: fence barking, door guarding, greenway lunging
- VIP: off leash across the lot, e-collar included

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How far is Augusta Pines from the training home?
About 20 minutes outside rush hour: 2920 west to 290, then a few minutes into Cypress. It is an easy drive for drop-off and the go-home session, and the $250 transport is only for families who want the handover on their own lot.
My dog is perfect at home and terrible everywhere else. Which program?
That is the Augusta Pines dog, and it is usually Gold: the problem is exposure, and two weeks of structured walks in stores and on sidewalks fixes what a big yard cannot. If the dog barks and lunges at other dogs or guards the door, it is Platinum, with the behavior work and the unlimited lessons.
Is a big dog fine in a house with other dogs?
Yes. The training home takes a limited number of dogs, each with its own crate and place, and introductions are managed. Big guardian breeds are a regular part of the work, and the balanced method gives them clear rules and fair boundaries rather than a contest.
Can the follow-up lessons be on the Spring Creek Greenway?
Yes. The greenway and Meyer Park are both Harris County Precinct 4 parks close to Augusta Pines and both suit leash work; check the precinct's page for the current rules. Platinum's unlimited lessons and Gold's included lesson can be scheduled there or on your own street.
Will my dog be off leash on the lot after the stay?
After Gold or Platinum the dog has a recall built on a long line and handed over at the go-home session, and you decide how far to trust it. Off-leash reliability across the whole lot is what VIP is for, with the Mini-Educator included and every lesson at your home.
