Board and train, Willowbrook
Board and train in Willowbrook: twenty minutes up 249
Willowbrook is apartments and townhomes around the mall, older subdivisions behind them, and a lot of households on medical-corridor shifts. Its dogs need a walk that works on a busy sidewalk, a settle when the schedule is odd, and manners in a hallway, and the stay is shaped around that.

The stay, from Willowbrook
A short drive from 1960, and a schedule that works around shift work.
The training home takes calls and drop-offs from 6am to 9pm daily, which matters when you work nights on the medical corridor. Drop-off from Willowbrook is a short trip, and you arrive with the food, any medications and the records, plus a few minutes to explain how the dog behaves in the hallway, at the elevator or in the parking lot. The dog then joins the house for a first day of nothing much: crate, yard, a quiet walk and the start of a routine.
Training begins in earnest on day two and runs every day in the training home and on the sidewalks and in the stores around it. You get photos and video on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, which is easy to catch up on after a shift. The go-home session is where the handling transfers to you; it happens at the training home, or in your apartment or townhome if you add the $250 transport or book VIP, which is where it belongs when the problems live in a stairwell.

What a Willowbrook dog practices
Sidewalk manners on a busy road, a hallway heel and a settle after a twelve-hour shift.
The Willowbrook dog's day is loud: FM 1960 traffic beside the sidewalk, a parking lot full of strangers, a hallway with a dog behind every third door. Inside the training home it learns place, the crate as a calm space and a settle that survives you coming home at 7am after a night shift. On the sidewalks around Cypress it learns the structured walk, then the same walk with cars, carts and other dogs passing close.
Field trips take Platinum and VIP dogs to the Willowbrook Mall corridor stores, where the aisles and the automatic doors do the work, and to Matzke Park on Jones Road, a Harris County Precinct 4 park with a dog park we use for neutrality at the fence rather than for play. Meyer Park is a short drive north for trails. Check the precinct's site for current hours and rules before you go on your own.
- A heel beside traffic and through parking lots
- Calm at the elevator and in the hallway
- A settle while you sleep off a night shift
- Neutrality at the Matzke Park dog park fence

Which program Willowbrook families choose
Platinum for most apartment dogs, because the lessons afterwards are unlimited.
Gold at $2,500 is right for a friendly dog with no manners: two weeks of sit and stay, place, the loose leash, door boundaries, jumping and impulse control, with a go-home session, one extra lesson and lifelong support. Platinum at $3,750 tends to fit Willowbrook better, because apartment dogs so often carry reactivity in the hallway or anxiety when left, and three weeks gives our trainers time for behavior modification and public field trips. The unlimited private lessons afterwards are the practical reason: a shift worker can book them when the schedule allows.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks with off-leash reliability, the Mini-Educator included, transport home and an in-home handover; it is uncommon for an apartment dog but exactly right for the family with a house behind the mall and a big yard. Silver at $1,500 is a one-week refresher for a returning graduate.
- Gold for the friendly dog with no manners
- Platinum for hallway reactivity, anxiety and flexible lessons
- VIP for the house-and-yard family that wants off leash
Prices and the deposit
Every price in the open, a $250 deposit, and transport that makes sense for an apartment.
Gold $2,500, Platinum $3,750, VIP $10,000: the pricing page and this page say the same thing. A $250 reservation deposit locks in the dates and is deducted from the program price. Transport is $250 for door-to-door pickup and return with the first lesson at your home, included in VIP. From Willowbrook the drive is short, yet apartment and townhome families often add it, because the first lesson and the go-home session then happen in the hallway, the elevator and the parking lot where the dog actually lives.
Private lessons are $160 at the training home or $220 at your place; Platinum and VIP include them without limit. Boarding with training refreshers is available to graduates, useful for a rotation that takes you out of town. The consultation call is free, takes a few minutes, and can be booked around any shift pattern; nothing about the schedule changes the price.
| Program | Length | Price | Go-home session |

| VIP | 6 weeks | $10,000 | At your door, transport included |
Willowbrook specifics
Hot parking lots, a garage full of scooters and a dog left alone on a long shift.
The pavement in a Willowbrook parking lot in July fails the hand test by mid-morning, so summer outdoor work runs early and late and the mall corridor stores carry the midday sessions from May through September. A dog left alone for a twelve-hour shift needs the crate to be a calm place and the settle to be real, and both are built during the stay. Fireworks carry across the apartment complexes on July 4 and New Year's Eve, so place with noise is practiced before the dog goes home.
- Early and late walks in summer, store aisles at noon
- A crate the dog rests in through a long shift
- Place practiced with noise before fireworks nights
- A parking-lot heel past carts and scooters

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How long is the drive from Willowbrook to the training home?
About 15 to 20 minutes outside rush hour from 249 at FM 1960 to the training home in Cypress, which sits off 290 near Fry Road. Drop-off and pickup are available from 6am to 9pm daily, so a shift schedule is not a problem.
Does board and train work for an apartment dog?
Yes, because the dog learns the settle and the walk in a house with a limited number of dogs and then transfers it. If you add the $250 transport, the first lesson and the go-home session happen in your building, where the hallway and the elevator are the real test.
Which program is right for a dog that lunges in the hallway?
Platinum at $3,750. Hallway lunging is reactivity, and it needs the three weeks of behavior modification and public field trips that Gold does not include. The unlimited private lessons afterwards let our trainers walk your hallway with you until the new behavior holds on your own floor.
Can I schedule drop-off around a night shift?
Yes. We take calls and drop-offs from 6am to 9pm every day, so an early morning after a night shift or an evening before one both work. Tell our team your rotation on the consultation call and we will set a time.
What does the go-home session cover for a townhome?
The handling you need in your own space: the wait at the door, the walk down the stairs, the settle on place while neighbors come and go, and the heel along the sidewalk. At the training home it is demonstrated and practiced with you; with transport or VIP it happens in your townhome.
