Board and train, The Woodlands
Board and train in The Woodlands: Creekside to Grogan's Mill, 35 minutes up 249
Woodlands dogs walk more than almost any in the metro, on trails full of bikes, runners and deer, and the ones that lunge or bolt are the ones that come to Cypress. They go home to a trail the family can finally enjoy.

The stay, from The Woodlands
Down 249 to Cypress, or the transport with the handover on your trail.
The drive from The Woodlands to Cypress is 249 to Grand Parkway, under an hour outside rush hour, and plenty of families make it for drop-off and again for the go-home session. Many add the $250 transport instead, so the dog is collected at the door, the drive is its first field trip, and the go-home session happens on the trail nearest the house, past the bikes and the deer that caused the trouble. Updates come Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the last field trips for a Woodlands dog use the Woodlands trails themselves.
The dog lives in the house with our trainers, sleeps in a crate in the home and trains daily; nothing about the program changes with the village.

What a Woodlands dog learns
A loose leash past bikes, runners, dogs and deer, and quiet in the yard.
The Woodlands dog lunges at bikes on the trail, bolts after deer, barks at every walker from a yard that backs onto a path, and cannot settle at the waterway patios. The double-coated breeds the villages favor, shepherds, huskies and Bernese, add heat sensitivity and drive. Platinum builds neutrality to the trail's traffic at a distance the dog can hold, closer over days, a recall around wildlife on a long line, and the settle, with field trips that get busier and unlimited lessons afterwards. VIP finishes the recall off leash with the Mini-Educator for the family with acreage or a trail dog they want loose where the rules allow.
Gold covers the manners for the Woodlands dog that only pulls and jumps.
- A slack leash when a bike passes at speed
- A recall that beats a deer, built on a long line
- Quiet in a yard that backs onto a trail
- A settle at the waterway patios
Programs and prices
Platinum most of all; VIP for the wildlife recall.
Platinum at $3,750 is the Woodlands program: three weeks, the trail neutrality, the recall on a long line, field trips and unlimited lessons. VIP at $10,000 is for the dog that must be reliable off leash around deer and on acreage, with the transport and the in-home handover included. Gold at $2,500 covers the manners; with the $250 transport it is $2,750 door to door. The reservation deposit is $250 and it counts toward the price.

Woodlands specifics
Forest shade, humidity, HOA rules and the trail crowd on the first cool weekend.
The pines make The Woodlands more walkable in summer than most of Houston, and the double-coated dogs still overheat on the paved trails by mid-morning, so a summer stay's trail work is early and the store aisles carry the afternoons. The villages enforce leash and barking rules, and the leash rule on the trails is also the safe choice with bikes, deer and the occasional coyote. The first cool weekend of October puts every family in the township on the trails at once, which is the final exam for a Woodlands Platinum dog and the reason we schedule the busy-trail field trips for the end of a stay.
- Early trail work in summer, store aisles at noon
- Leashed trails, by rule and for safety
- Village barking and leash rules enforced
- The busy weekend trail as the final exam

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
How far is The Woodlands from the training home?
About 35 to 45 minutes to Cypress via 249 and Grand Parkway outside rush hour. Families drop off or take the $250 pickup and return, which brings the go-home session to their own trail.
Can you make my dog reliable around deer on the trails?
Platinum builds a recall around wildlife on a long line at a distance the dog can hold, closer over weeks, and neutrality to bikes and runners. VIP finishes it off leash with the Mini-Educator for a dog that will be trusted on acreage; on the trails the leash rule still applies.
Do you pick up in every village?
Yes: Creekside Park, Grogan's Mill, Alden Bridge, Sterling Ridge, Panther Creek, Indian Springs, Cochran's Crossing and College Park. Both legs and the first lesson at your house are covered by the $250, and VIP families pay nothing extra for it.
Which program for a husky that overheats and pulls?
Gold for the pulling if the dog is otherwise steady, Platinum if it also lunges or bolts. Either way the summer schedule is built around a double coat: dawn and dusk outdoors, store aisles and the lake at midday, and a heat plan taught at the handover.
