Dog training in League City: Clear Lake water dogs and recall
League City families sail, fish and live on the water, and their dogs come along. A dog that jumps off the boat, ignores its name on the dock and pulls toward every pelican is a hazard as well as a nuisance, and the fix is the same water curriculum we build for lake dogs closer to home.

How it works from League City
Over an hour from Cypress, so the transport is built in to the plan.
League City is the far corner of our service area and we say so. The drive to the training home is well over an hour, so the $250 transport is how nearly every League City stay works: we collect the dog at your door, it lives and trains in the home in Cypress, and at the end of the program we bring it back and run the go-home session at your house and your dock. Drop-off is possible for families who prefer it.
Your dog sleeps in our house, not a run, and the Monday, Wednesday and Friday photo updates show you the work as it happens.

- Transport included in VIP
- Water manners transferred to your own dock

League City dogs
The boat, the dock and a recall that has to beat a pelican.
The League City dog we see is a Lab or golden that owns Clear Lake: off the dock without permission, into the water at every bird, back on the boat wet and wild, and deaf to its name the moment it is near water. A dog like that is one bad day from a boat propeller or a jellyfish sting, and its family knows it. The second dog is the doodle that cannot settle at the waterfront patios, and the third is the shepherd guarding the dock from every passing kayak.
Water manners are a wait at the edge and a recall out of the water, built on a long line at the lake near the training home and finished at your dock in the go-home session. VIP takes it to off-leash reliability on the water with the Mini-Educator, which is the only honest way to have a dog loose on a dock.
- A wait at the dock and on the boat until released
- A recall out of the water that beats birds and other dogs
- A settle at the waterfront patios
- Neutrality to kayaks, jet skis and fishermen
Where we train near you
The marinas, Lynn Gripon Park and the waterfront.
Lessons and go-home sessions in League City use your own dock and street first, then the waterfront parks and marinas for neutrality to boats and people, Lynn Gripon Park and Hometown Heroes Park for recall on a long line, and the stores on I-45 and FM 518 for neutrality around carts. During the stay the same skills are built around Cypress and at the lake, and proofed on field trips as the dog earns them.
Summer on the water is a heat problem too: a wet dog cools, but a dog on a boat deck at noon does not, and the pavement test applies to docks as well as sidewalks.

Platinum or VIP for the water dog; the transport is part of the math.

VIP at $10,000 produces complete off-leash reliability on the water and includes the transport and the handover at your dock. Gold at $2,500 covers the manners for a dog that is calm around water, and in-home lessons are $220.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Can you make my dog safe on a boat and a dock?
Yes. A wait until released, a recall out of the water and neutrality to boats and birds are built at the lake during a Platinum stay and finished at your own dock. For a dog that will be loose on a dock, VIP's off-leash reliability with the Mini-Educator is the honest answer.
Do you pick up in League City and Clear Lake?
Yes. The $250 transportation service collects your dog anywhere in League City, Clear Lake, Seabrook, Kemah or Friendswood, returns it at the end of the stay and includes the first lesson at your home.
How far is League City from the training home?
About 65 to 75 minutes to Cypress outside rush hour, which is why the transport is the standard choice and the go-home session happens at your dock rather than in Cypress.
Do you offer lessons in League City?
Yes, in-home lessons at $220 per session across League City, Clear Lake and Friendswood, including at the dock, which is where water manners have to hold.
