Training at your door
How much is in-home dog training?
In-home training is the right format when the problem lives in your house: the front door, the fence, the crate, the kids. This page gives the exact prices, explains the difference from the Cypress rate, and shows when the drive is worth saving.

The short version
$220 per lesson and $750 for the puppy bundle, at your door.
An in-home lesson is the same hour our trainers deliver in Cypress, moved to your house and your street. The price is $220, and the difference from the $160 Cypress rate is the trainer's time on the road across a region where Katy to Cypress is 25 to 35 minutes and the Heights is 30 to 45. The puppy bundle follows the same logic: $750 in-home, $550 at our location, four sessions either way.
In-home is not a lesser product. It is often the better one for door manners, fence fighting, resource guarding at the food bowl, a puppy's crate and potty routine, or a dog who behaves for our trainers and ignores the family. Those problems happen in your rooms, and the fix has to be taught in your rooms.
- $220 per in-home lesson, about an hour
- $750 for the four-session puppy bundle in-home
- Anywhere in the Houston service area
- Same trainers, same method, your house

The reasoning
The extra sixty dollars buys the trainer's drive and the problem in its natural habitat.
Houston is spread out, and a trainer who leaves Cypress for a lesson in Sugar Land or Kingwood spends 45 to 55 minutes each way outside rush hour. The in-home rate covers that time. It also buys something the Cypress lesson cannot: the trainer sees the hallway where the dog charges the door, the fence line where he barks at the neighbor's Lab, the couch he guards, and the way the family actually handles him.
The Cypress lesson has its own advantages, which is why both exist. Our location steps straight out to quiet sidewalks and, minutes away, the pet and hardware stores along 290 and Fry Road, which is ideal for leash work and public manners. If the problem is the walk, come to us. If the problem is the house, we come to you.
Stays that come home
Board and train reaches your home through transport and, in VIP, entirely.
A stay in our trainer's home ends with a go-home session, and for families who book the $250 transport service that session happens in your house: our trainer returns the dog and delivers the first lesson on your floor, at your door and on your street. For families in Pearland, League City or Montgomery, 45 to 70 minutes away, that turns a long drive into a delivered handover.
VIP at $10,000 goes further. Transport home is included, the handover is in your home, and every follow-up lesson is in-home and unlimited. It is the most in-home product we offer, built for families who want off-leash reliability taught and maintained where the dog lives. Gold and Platinum families can add transport or book in-home lessons at $220.
| In-home option | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Private lesson | $220 | About an hour at your house, any issue |
| Puppy Development Bundle | $750 | Four sessions for a puppy under four months |
| Transport add-on | $250 | Pickup, return, and the first lesson at home |
| VIP Board & Train | $10,000 | Transport home, in-home handover, unlimited in-home lessons |
Houston specifics
In-home lessons in Houston are scheduled around heat, traffic and storms.
From May through September, book in-home lessons for early morning or evening if the problem involves the sidewalk, because the afternoon pavement is too hot for paws and our trainers will keep the leash work indoors otherwise; the back-of-the-hand test decides. Indoor problems, the crate, the door, the food bowl, can be worked at any hour with the air conditioning on.
Traffic shapes the calendar too. A lesson in Memorial or the Energy Corridor at rush hour can take our trainer longer to reach than to teach, so mid-morning and early afternoon slots are easier to get. During hurricane season, June 1 to November 30, an in-home lesson may move with the forecast; we call early rather than late.
- Sidewalk problems: early or late in summer
- Indoor problems: any hour
- Mid-morning slots beat rush hour
- Storm weeks may reschedule
What it means for your dog
Puppies, adults and hard cases use in-home differently.
Puppies under four months are the strongest case for in-home: the crate, the potty schedule, the nipping and the socialization all happen in your rooms, and the $750 bundle teaches the household where it lives. Adult dogs with house problems, door rushing, counter surfing, guarding the couch, get more from one $220 in-home visit than from two at our location.
Hard cases are where in-home alone runs out. Reactivity and aggression need daily controlled repetitions with other dogs and people, which one hour a week in your living room cannot supply; the Platinum stay at $3,750 does the heavy work, and in-home lessons or transport bring the handover to your street. Our team will map that out on the free phone consultation.
Decide whether the problem is the house or the walk.
House: book in-home at $220, or the $750 puppy bundle for a puppy under four months.
Walk or public manners: book the Cypress lesson at $160 and use the nearby stores.
Behavior problems: ask about Platinum, then add transport for an in-home handover.
Have every adult present for the in-home visit; the dog needs one set of rules.

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Why is in-home training more expensive than training in Cypress?
The extra sixty dollars per lesson, and the extra two hundred on the puppy bundle, cover our trainer's drive across a large region and the time it takes. The lesson itself is the same hour. What you gain is a trainer who sees the problem where it happens, which for house-based issues is worth the difference.
Do you travel to The Woodlands, Katy and Sugar Land for in-home lessons?
Yes. Our service area covers Houston, Cypress, The Woodlands, Tomball, Katy, Spring, Montgomery, Hockley and the surrounding communities, and in-home lessons are $220 anywhere in it. For the farthest areas, ask our team about scheduling, since drive time shapes which slots are available on a given day.
Is in-home board and train a thing?
Not in the sense of a trainer living in your house. Our board and train happens in our trainer's Cypress home, and the in-home part is the handover and the lessons: the $250 transport service delivers the first lesson at your house, and VIP includes an in-home handover and unlimited in-home lessons.
How many in-home lessons will my dog need?
For a single house problem with a consistent family, often one or two at $220. For a puppy, the four-session bundle at $750. For reactivity or aggression, in-home lessons are the follow-up to a Platinum stay rather than the treatment. Our team gives you a count on the free call, not an open-ended package.
Can the in-home lesson include the whole family and the kids?
Please. A dog trained by one adult listens to one adult, and children are usually the ones the dog ignores or jumps on. We keep kids involved in age-appropriate ways, such as feeding on a place command or practicing the door routine. The in-home format is the best place to do it.
