How much is a 1 week board and train?
One week is the shortest stay we offer and the most common first question on the phone. Here is exactly what $1,500 covers, what can change the total, and when a week is the right amount of training.

The price
$1,500 for seven days, with the go-home session included.
The Silver price covers the whole week: your dog's stay in our trainer's own home, the daily training sessions, the photo and video updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the go-home session at the end. That session is where our trainer shows you the leash handling, the door routine and the structure your dog learned, so it keeps working in your house.
What Silver does not include is worth knowing too. Public field trips to stores and parks belong to the three-week Platinum and six-week VIP programs. The additional follow-up lesson and lifelong support come with Gold. Silver dogs train at the home and on the quiet streets around it.

The total
Two things can change what you pay: transport and a second dog.
Most families drop off and pick up in Cypress, and pay $1,500. Families who would rather not make the drive can add door-to-door transportation for $250, which covers pickup and return and includes the first lesson in your home. The $250 reservation deposit is not an extra: it comes off the program price when the balance is paid.
Programs are priced per dog, because each dog gets its own sessions. If you have two dogs, tell our team on the free phone consultation and we will quote the household there; we do not publish a two-dog price.

The fit
Silver fits a starting point or a refresher, not a behavior problem.
A week is enough to install a framework a dog did not have: walking on a loose leash, waiting at doors, understanding that the house has rules. It suits a young adult with no bad habits yet, or a trained dog that has drifted after a move, a new baby or a busy season.
It is not enough for reactivity, aggression or anxiety. Those take the repetition and public work of the three-week Platinum program at $3,750. A dog with jumping, pulling and poor impulse control usually needs the two-week Gold program at $2,500. Our team will tell you honestly on the phone which one fits, even if it is the cheaper option.

From call to handover
Booking a Silver week takes six steps, from the phone call to the go-home session.
From Katy or Tomball the drive to Cypress is about 25 to 35 minutes outside rush hour, and from central Houston about 30 to 45. Transport removes the drive entirely.

At Best Dog University
If a week is not enough, the next step up is two weeks at $2,500.
Gold adds a second week, sit and stay, place and stay, work on jumping and pulling, impulse control, one additional lesson and lifelong support. Families often book Gold or Platinum as a second stay after Silver, and the dog arrives with the framework already in place.
From May to September, a Silver week runs its outdoor training in the early morning and evening, when the pavement is safe for paws, and the rest of the day is spent on indoor work such as doors and settling. The price and the week are the same in any season.

Is $1,500 the full price for the week?
Yes. The $1,500 covers the stay, the training, the updates and the go-home session. The only optional add-on during the stay is door-to-door transportation at $250. The $250 deposit is part of the $1,500, not an extra charge, because it comes off the program price.
Is there a discount for two dogs?
We do not publish a two-dog price. Programs are priced per dog, because each dog gets its own training time. Tell our team about both dogs on the free phone consultation, and we will quote your household there and tell you whether both need the same program.
Can I add lessons after Silver?
Yes. Private lessons are $160 at our Cypress location or $220 in your home, and many Silver families book one a few weeks after the stay to check the leash handling and the door routine. It is an easy way to keep a one-week foundation strong.
Is there anything cheaper than a week?
Private lessons at $160 per session are the lowest-cost way to work with our team, and they teach you rather than the dog. For a puppy under four months, the Puppy Development Bundle is four sessions for $550 in Cypress or $750 in your home.
