Board and train, Fairfield
Board and train in Fairfield: ten minutes from the training home
Fairfield dogs have lakes at the end of the greenbelt, a pool in the yard, kids in and out of the door all summer and an HOA that notices barking. Being ten minutes from the training home means the field trips happen on trails you already walk.

The stay, from Fairfield
Ten minutes to drop off, ten minutes back, and updates you will recognize.
Fairfield is the easy version of board and train. You drop the dog at the training home on your way to work, 290 to Fry Road, with its food, records and medication, and you are home before the coffee is cold. Nobody in Fairfield needs the $250 transport for distance, though a few families add it to have the go-home session at their own front door and pool gate. The first day is settling: a walk, the crate, meals on place, no drills.
After that the dog trains every day, in the house and on the sidewalks, and the field trips are close enough to be on your own greenbelt and in the stores at 290 and Mason. When the Monday, Wednesday and Friday photos arrive, you will recognize the trail. The go-home session is at the training home, and because it is ten minutes away, Fairfield families use the follow-up lessons more than most.

What a Fairfield dog practices
The pool gate, the greenbelt, the window and the ducks.
The Fairfield problems are specific. A retriever treats the backyard pool as its own and the lake at the end of the greenbelt as a bigger one, so the wait at the water's edge and the recall out of it are built at the lake near the training home and then transferred to yours. The greenbelt trails have a dog every hundred yards and ducks on every lake, and a loose leash past both is the daily walk you actually want. The front window faces a street full of kids on bikes; quiet there keeps the HOA letters away.
Bill Archer Bark Park is a short drive east and useful after the stay for neutrality work on its trails; it is a Harris County Precinct 3 park, and the precinct's page has the current rules for the dog areas. Summer moves the outdoor work to dawn and dusk from May to September and puts the aisles at 290 and Mason in the middle of the day, and July 4 in a neighborhood this size is loud, so the calm-in-the-crate skill gets practiced early.
- A wait at the pool gate and a recall out of the lake
- A loose leash past dogs and ducks on the greenbelt
- Quiet at the window while the street is busy
- Calm in the crate before the fireworks
Which program
Gold for the retriever, Platinum for the lunger, VIP for the lakeside off leash.
The friendly Fairfield retriever or doodle that pulls, jumps on guests and cannonballs into the pool fits Gold: two weeks at $2,500 for the manners set, a go-home session and one more lesson. The dog that barks itself hoarse at the window, lunges at other dogs on the greenbelt or guards the kids' friends fits Platinum: three weeks at $3,750 with behavior modification, field trips and unlimited private lessons. Being ten minutes away makes those unlimited lessons unusually valuable.
VIP at $10,000 is six weeks with the Mini-Educator included and the dog finished for off-leash reliability, which for Fairfield means the lakeside paths and the yard with the gate open. It includes transport and an in-home handover even though you are close. Silver at $1,500 is the one-week refresher for a graduate. Our team matches the dog to the program on the consultation call and will say if Gold is enough.
- Gold: the pool-loving retriever
- Platinum: window barking, greenbelt lunging, lessons without limit
- VIP: off leash on the lakeside paths
Prices and the deposit
Fairfield pays the published price and skips the transport.
Gold is $2,500, Platinum $3,750, VIP $10,000, the same as everywhere. A $250 reservation deposit secures the dates and is credited against the program. The $250 transport with the first lesson at home exists for families an hour away; in Fairfield it is a choice, not a need, and VIP includes it anyway. Because the training home is so close, Fairfield families tend to pick up right at the end of the stay and book a first lesson on their own greenbelt the same week.
| Item | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | $2,500 | Two weeks |
| Platinum | $3,750 | Three weeks, the most booked program |
| VIP | $10,000 | Six weeks, transport included |
| Reservation deposit | $250 | Holds the dates, comes off the price |
| Transport | $250 | Pickup and return, first lesson at your home |

Asked and answered
Questions people ask about this.
Will the field trips actually be in Fairfield?
Often, yes. The training home is ten minutes away, so Fairfield's greenbelt trails, its lakes and the stores at 290 and Mason Road are part of the regular route, alongside the lake and the aisles closer to the training home. The updates will show places you walk with your own dog.
Should I add the transport if I live ten minutes away?
Only if you want the go-home session at your own house rather than at the training home. Some Fairfield families add the $250 transport for that reason, so our trainer can run the handover at the pool gate and the front window. VIP includes it regardless of distance.
Can I stop by and see my dog since I am so close?
We ask you not to. A visit mid-stay unsettles the dog and costs a day of progress, and being ten minutes away makes the temptation stronger, not the reason weaker. You get photos and video on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the reunion is the go-home session.
My retriever will not come out of the lake. Is that fixable?
Yes. Water recall is built at the lake near the training home on a long line, then without it, and the go-home session shows you how to keep it. A Gold stay covers the basics for a friendly dog; a Platinum stay is the choice if the dog also lunges or barks on the greenbelt.
How does the HOA fit into training?
Fairfield has HOA rules, and barking and leash complaints are the ones dog owners run into most in any master-planned community. The quiet cue and the structured walk are what keep a dog on the right side of them; your HOA documents are the source for the specifics, and the stay gives you the tools.
